BEATRIX, un progetto della Fondazione Baruchello
In 2019 Gianfranco Baruchello starts a new project that constitutes the fourth phase of a long reflection on landscape since the 1970s: Agricola Cornelia S. P. A., the garden, the forest. A two-hectare piece of land in the countryside north of Rome is imagined as a small independent state: the name is BEATRIX (from the Latin for “she who makes happy”), and on this surface mostly plant life forms grow and live. Everything else that lives or passes through Beatrix is thought of as a function of the plant world. Actions, words, directions, prompts, arise to observe what lives and coexists in Beatrix.
At the Fondazione Baruchello, some steps of this project will be briefly recounted, which will take new forms of presentation over time.
